Meet Stolosio
Stolosio is an open-source, self-hosted browser and web-acquisition gateway. It gives your CDP-compatible automation one endpoint across a bounded HTTP path, a managed Browserless fleet, and optional Browserbase capacity.
Keep your automation. Use only the browser you need.
ws://localhost:8411/v1/connectHow it works
Section titled “How it works”Your client connects to Stolosio. An automatic session can begin with lightweight HTTP acquisition and escalate to a browser when navigation checks or a command require one. Once a browser is acquired, native CDP traffic passes through to it.
Stolosio owns admission, queues, session lifecycle, fleet capacity, and routing. PostgreSQL is the durable source of truth. A separate fleet controller manages browser workers on Docker or Kubernetes.
Current status
Section titled “Current status”Stolosio is experimental, intended for local development and trusted networks. There are no supported production releases, multi-tenant guarantees, or API/database compatibility guarantees yet.
The CDP, DEBUG, admin, and metrics endpoints have no application-level access control. An installation’s externally protected admin interface does not add built-in authentication to Stolosio. Read the security guide before deployment.
Project and licensing
Section titled “Project and licensing”Stolosio’s original code is MIT licensed. Dependencies retain their own licenses; review the third-party notices, including Browserless terms.
Code, issues, and contributions live on GitHub. The roadmap describes future direction, not a promise of currently available features.
